The Blackbutt Wildlife Exhibits. Blackbutt Reserve has a long history of exhibiting captive wildlife. The first enclosures were built in the 1960’s, and the current displays showcase a variety of native Australian wildlife in a variety of settings.
The Adventure Lab will take you on a walk through the exhibits.
The wildlife exhibits are open between 10am and 4.30pm daily, closed Christmas Day, Good Friday and before 1pm ANZAC Day. Entry is free, although donations are appreciated, parking is metered by council in the closest carpark, but some other carparks in Blackbutt are free, and walking tracks will take you to the wildlife exhibits. All information needed to answer questions in the Adventure Labs are found on displays and signage in the areas.
The Adventure Lab locations are all wheelchair and stroller accessible. This bonus cache is a short walk from the start of the AL, along a sealed walking path, with a 20m walk in light scrub at GZ.
