The Mount Beauty Township water supply is sourced from the West Branch of the Kiewa River. It is pumped to a storage and treatment plant in South Tawonga and then piped back to the Town Storage Reservoir SE above the town. From there water is supplied to the town.
The H20 cache is located at the Town Storage Reservoir requiring an uphill walk from the town.
The cache is a small plastic airtight/watertight container with a logbook and pencil.
Access can be from the Police Station in Tawonga Crescent or from the Big Hill Mountain Bike Park which is off the Bogong High Plains Road above the town.,
