Geocache Description:

Winterton dunes are an SSSI and National Nature Reserve.  The area shows complete coastal succession from foreshore through dunes, slacks and dune heath to birch scrub.  It's noted for its unusual acid soils with many rare plants and animals.

Natterjack toads are one of the species that can be found in the area.  They have short legs and a distinctive mating call which gives them their name.  In the UK they are an endangered species.  They are easily distinguished by a yellow line which runs down the middle of their back and they live for up to 15 years.

Please find the Natterjack toad, together with their other wildlife friends (who can also be found in Winterton dunes) in the wordsearch below!  Then take the unused letters in each row to obtain the final co-ordinates.

N52 (14th row x 4) . (3rd row - 4th row) (12th row - 11th row) (15th row - 13th row)

E001 (10th row x 5th row) . (8th row - 1) (7th row - 9th row) (3rd row - 10th row)

Please note that the final location for this cache is very close to an SSSI where the Natterjack toad can be found - if you're lucky, you might see one!  It is a long walk from the village of Winterton or a decent bike ride from the ruins of East Somerton church.  However, the area is well worth a visit!  Parking waypoints have been included for ease.
