Geocache Description:

Village Hall, Kneesall

This cache is part of a series of caches which are placed at or near village halls and community centres.
For details and statistics about the Village Hall Series please visit Village Hall Series website.

Yes! Your eyes do not deceive you. This is the church of St Bartholomew. But it is also the community centre for the village. And I think this is also the first cache in the VIllage Hall Series that is also the church.

The church nave still contains the alter and hosts regular services but the rear of the church is now the Bill Helmsley Community Centre. The conversion took place in 2004 after the former village hall (now a nursery) fell into disrepair and was eventually sold off.
