Welcome to the John P. Robarts Research Library, also more commonly known as Robarts Library, Fort Book, and the Turkey.

Completed in 1973, this library building is one of the most significant examples of brutalist architecture in North America. Its towering main structure rests on an equilateral triangular footprint and features extensive use of triagnular geometric patterns throughout. Comprising fourteen storeys, plus two underground floors, this brutalist and futurist structure contains more than 4.5 million books! The first and second level of Robarts Library are open to the public. Further, on the mezzanine/second level is the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library which is also open to the public. The interior of the Rare Book Library is spectacular and contains the largest repository of publicly accessible rare books and manuscripts in Canada.

Currently, Robarts Library is undergoing renovations on its West side. There will be an addition of a five-storey pavilion which will become the new face of Robarts Library, opening up the West side of the building to the street, bringing a flood of natural light to the lower floors and making the overall environment more inviting, accessible, and productive for students. The new pavilion is anticipated to add 1,200 new work and study spaces to Robarts, bringing the library's total number of study spaces to over 6,000.

The cache is a black bison tube located in a high-density muggle area. Stealth is absolutely essential when retrieving and replacing the cache! Students commute to and from their classes between 0 - 10 minutes before and after the hour (e.g. 10:50 am - 11:10 am). Every hour there is a 40 minute window where there aren't so many muggles walking around.
