La chiesa di San Michele a Compiobbi (Fi) ha origine tra il XII e il XIII secolo.
Costruita sul lato opposto al paese di Compiobbi, era la prioria di riferimento per i paesani, che la raggiungevano in barca attraversando il fiume Arno.
Sul campanile a vela ci sono tre campane: due fuse da Terzo Rafanelli intorno al 1920 ed elettrificate, la terza invece è la più antica, di fattura seicentesca suonata manualmente.
Situata a Vallina in riva all'Arno nel Comune di Bagno a Ripoli, nei primi decenni del XIX secolo l’attuale centro abitato era costituito da poche costruzioni (Docciola, Docciolina, Lo Stelli) diluite lungo la strada pedecollinare (Via di Docciola) che tagliavano con un tracciato rettilineo l’ampia ansa formata dall’Arno in prossimità di Compiobbi. All’altezza della Docciolina si staccava la vecchia Via di Compiobbi, che penetrava nelle aree alluvionali fino ad arrivare a ridosso dell’Arno dando accesso alla Chiesa di San Michele a Compiobbi. Nel corso dell’800, più a sud, si forma il borgo lineare di Vallina, costituito da un’edilizia continua a filo strada.
Dopo gli anni ’60 i terreni pianeggianti prossimi al fiume vengono scelti per la realizzazione di quella che diverrà la maggiore zona industriale di Bagno a Ripoli. Si inizia così la costruzione di grandi capannoni ad uso produttivo, destinati ad occupare tutta l’ansa del fiume e una parte delle aree pedecollinari orientali, ubicate a monte della strada. Contemporaneamente si avvia l’espansione residenziale di Via del Roseto.

The church of San Michele in Compiobbi (Fi) originates between the 12th and 13th centuries.
Built on the opposite side of the town of Compiobbi, it was the reference priory for the villagers, who reached it by boat crossing the Arno river.
On the bell gable there are three bells: two cast by Terzo Rafanelli around 1920 and electrified, the third instead is the oldest, of seventeenth-century manufacture played manually.
Located in Vallina on the banks of the Arno in the Municipality of Bagno a Ripoli, in the early decades of the nineteenth century the current town was made up of a few buildings (Docciola, Docciolina, Lo Stelli) diluted along the foothills road (Via di Docciola) which they cut the wide bend formed by the Arno near Compiobbi with a straight path. At the height of the Docciolina the old Via di Compiobbi branched off, which penetrated the alluvial areas until it reached the Arno, giving access to the Church of San Michele in Compiobbi. During the 1800s, further south, the linear village of Vallina was formed, consisting of a building that continues flush with the road.
After the 1960s, the flat lands next to the river were chosen for the construction of what would become the largest industrial area of Bagno a Ripoli. Thus began the construction of large warehouses for productive use, intended to occupy the entire bend of the river and part of the eastern foothills, located upstream of the road. At the same time, the residential expansion of Via del Roseto began.
