Since getting into geocaching three months ago my 8 year-old son has wanted to hide a geocache. I told him that he can hide his own geocache if he does the groundwork for it. The hiding place, type of cache and hint were all devised by him.
We have come to this spot for around 5 years to watch the trains go past. Over that time we have seen countless KiwiRail trains as well as the steam train when it has come to town. On occasion we have waited there for 2 hours for a train to hopefully come!
These days between school and work we do not make it out here often, however any chance we get you can find us waiting here around the time the Castlecliff train, or Whareroa milk factory trains normally come through hoping to see them go by.
There are a couple of houses nearby so a small bit of stealth might be required.
Cache has room for log only, please bring your own pen/cil and hide carefully once signed.
