Welcome to Mooresville, Alabama! Step back in time and experience this picturesque and historical 19th century village. Walking is recommended for these Adventure Labs.

Named for an early settler, Mooresville was incorporated in November 1818 when Alabama was still a Territory. The Mooresville Post Office (1840) is the oldest operational post office in Alabama. Andrew Johnson, 17th U.S. President, lived here as a tailor's apprentice when he was a young man. Union General James A. Garfield, 20th U.S. President, encamped here during the Civil War. Disney's Tom and Huck was filmed here in 1995.

Often referred to as “Alabama’s Williamsburg,” the entire town is now on the National Register of Historic Places. There are a number of unique and architecturally significant buildings in the area. Come explore Mooresville !

Note: It may be necessary to exit the Adventure Lab app and open it back up to see all 5 journal entries once you have completed the Adventure Lab.
