Geocache Description:


Trout Creek is a tributary of the Kennebecasis River that flows to the Saint John River.  The bridge is one of the smaller ones in the province, extending less than 18 m in length. There is a measuring stick in the bank below against one of the supports, for recording high water levels in spring.

The bridge is close to Poley Mountain, near Waterford which is south of Urney, on the road from Rockville to Cedar CampWaterford ParishKings County: first called Seely's Mills: PO 1852-1875: in 1871 "Seeley's Mills" and surrounding district had a population of 650: in 1898 Seely's Mills was farming settlement with a population of about 450: renamed Waterford in 1875: PO Waterford 1875-1963: in 1904 Waterford had 1 post office, 2 stores, 1 cheese and butter factory, 1 carriage factory, 2 sawmills, 2 grist mills, 3 churches and a population of 600.

Location: Route 1, Exit 198, Route 111 south for 4.2 km (2.6 mi.), Dutch Valley Road (Waterford Road) for eight km (five mi.), on to Drummond Road.

Built in 1923. Length 17.8 m (58' 6")
