"Nobody puts Baby in the corner."

The phrase 'nobody puts baby in the corner' means that no one with talent should be stopped from expressing it or showing it off."

The phrase was made famous in the 1987 classic movie Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey . At the end of the movie, Baby's sitting in the corner with her parents, who were mad at her. When Johnny comes back for the final dance with Baby, he stands up to her father by pulling her away from the "corner". Johnny is showing that Baby doesn't deserve to be silenced by anyone. She proves it by showing her family what an amazing dancer she is.
