Mills Reservation is a 157.15 acre reservation and was gifted to Essex County Park system by the Davilla Mills Foundation. We are grateful to David and Ella Mills for this gift. Our family has enjoyed hikes throughout this park for many years, during many stages of our lives. We hope you enjoy the trails, and we will try to add waypoints for parking in the future. The park is full of squirrels, chipmunks, deer, birds and more. Please note there are many hikers/walkers with dogs on and off leash at the park. We hope this Mills cache, named after one of our dogs, and the others we plan to hide, will help everyone enjoy the trails and remember that we live on a very beautiful planet, one that needs our care and protection. This cache is close to the scenic viewing area at the top of Mills, but the cache is not actually located at the top.
