Cable Bay is a bay and small settlement 18 kilometres (11 mi) north-east of Nelson in New Zealand. The settlement at the head of the bay is at the southern end of a thin strip of land or causeway connecting Pepin Island with the South Island.
It's also a fantastic spot for swimming, fishing, kayaking, picnics, walking and to hide another geocache. This cache terrain depends on the tide .. low tide you will get muddy ..high tide your swimming or will need to be on board a floating vessel. You will also need to BYOP.
