In the early 1980s, Quincy Alderman Richard Peters helped get approval for a local Illinois railroad station. The Quincy Amtrak station was built in 1985 and was modeled after a former streetcar station of the early 20th Century.
Railroads provided a highly efficient network for shipping freight and passengers across the country. Both freight and passenger trains can be seen passing through the station.
Permission was given by Quincy's Transportation Office to place this cache. This cache is just steps from parking and is nowhere close to any tracks.
No night caching.
