This Thermal Spring is a bore, drilled in 1897.
The original records state that the depth of the bore was 2,304 feet (702.3 m) and it had a flow rate of 155,560 gallons per day.
A Public Bath House was built in the 1910s.
Nowadays the Public Bath House is gone, only the bore hole is still there.
A hot spring is a spring produced by the emergence of geothermally heated groundwater that rises from the Earth's crust.
There is no universally accepted definition of a hot spring. For example, one can find the phrase hot spring defined as a spring with water temperatures above 50 °C (122 °F).
Huge reservoirs of water, 700 to 800 metres underground are heated to the temperature of the ground at this depth,witch is between 60 and 80 °C.
Because heated water can hold more dissolved solids than cold water, this hot spring, has a very high mineral content, containing everything from simple calcium to lithium, and even radium.
