Ziggy’s Cache

Ziggy is a tough little rat terrier found in Turner, ME, and rescued/seized from an abusive owner.  His story is one of amazing resilience & perseverance... like this cache.

About 3 years ago (2016) Ziggy was run over by a truck that broke his back, hip, shoulder, & ribs.  Unbelievably, while he was never treated by a veterinarian, he survived the ordeal.

In Aug-2019, he was found wandering along a major road - severely malnourished, flea-anemic - in very poor condition. He was in such poor condition, neither animal control nor the rescue wanted to save him. Luckily, he found an angel in his Foster Mom, who saw his spirit & spunk - gave him a chance at life. Luckily our paths crossed and...

Ziggy’s coming around - took him off pain meds that made him lethargic & quite discombobulated. Put him on a regular diet with a CBD supplement, and (while he still zigs & zags) he’s a lot stronger.  Slowly, he’s revealing his personality; and, while he still has serious issues, he’s beginning to show his grit on our farm (with 2 other rescued dogs, 3 rescued goats & 2 rescued miniature donkeys.)  He's now drug-free and quite a character!

Conceptually, like Ziggy, this cache is built to withstand being run over by a truck!
