The church of the Swedish congregation in Denmark is built on the former Greenland Bastion at Kastellet.

Svenska Gustafskyrkan is part of the Swedish churches abroad and has churches in London, Paris and Oslo. I have also have seen Swedish churches in the Canary Islands and they are used by tourists. The church is used by Swedes living in Denmark and is a popular wedding church. The Swedish congregation in Denmark received state recognition in 1913.

The church building is designed in a national romantic style with a hard-burnt brownish brick.

Church opening hours: Wednesday - Saturday at 10 - 15. Entrance at the right door through the café, where you can buy coffee for 10 kr.
