This should be a quick find and another in of our "Suburbia" type caches, just to get everyone who visits our City an overview of George and surrounds. You are looking for a micro cache, small pill bottle size.
This "Gateway" is your entrance / starting point to one of the many popular mountain trails that course through the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains, which cast their magnifiscient shadows over George. This particular trail starts in the suburb of Fernridge and is in close proximity to the botanical gardens. The trail is popular with MTB cyclists, trail runners and those simply walking their dogs and enjoying the outdoors and that which nature shares with us.
Just be aware that if you do decide to go on a walk, its advisable to use these trails in groups, rather avoid going alone. As with any mountain trail / area be aware of your surroundings and the possibilty of an encounter with with the hisssssing kind of danger in the summer months.
