Geocache Description:

Once upon a time, a beautiful Golden Retriever named Chewy (short for Chewbacca) used to swim and chase tennis balls in this special, unknown little sandy beach sanctuary.  Yes, a beach! This is a great little path at the Saddle River Duck Park. Very easy to access and a very easy find. Bring your dog, and share as we did, that special time with them here. This cache, which is our first, is dedicated to Chewy "The Muffin" who we miss so much.

From the Wild Duck Pond 2nd parking lot, follow the "Pathway" north into the wood.  The Saddle River will be flowing to your right.  A very short walk on the path, you will see the sand.  The Cache is close by.  Enjoy the park, the beach, the playground, and of course, the dog run. Also, this is technically where the Saddle River Bike Path begins, so you can follow this all the way down to Saddle Brook NJ.  Several miles.
