Mountwood Lane is a tiny, no-through single track lane off Banks Lane, which here is an open straight section with good visibility, albeit narrow, following the route of the Roman road between London and Great Dunmow. Mountwood Lane tarmac peters out after the house set back from the road becoming a woodland path leading through Ongar Wood to North Weald, It has cycle and footpath permission and is crossed by the Essex Way between Coopersale and Toot Hll.
This lane leads into a route to return to Coopersale and/or Epping, following the Essex Way.
This cache is a film cannister tucked into a mossy crevice.
