This is where my school career started many years ago – Laerskool Krige. I have fond memories of attending school here.

What is it like to be in a plaas skool?
We were only six pupils in Sub A (not Grade 1) as we used to call it then, seven pupils in Sub B (Grade 2) and two pupils in Standard 1.
We all shared the same classroom and only had one teacher.
We did not have computers and all the modern aids.
We learned to klank, read and write neatly.
We had an athletics meeting with Lindeshof, Jongensklip and Greyton at Greyton every year.
We knew all the other pupils in the school by name.
We had the privilege to grow up in the countryside.
We had not a worry in the world.
Life was good!
