This is a quick ‘cache n dash’ and I hope you enjoy it!
This is a micro magnetic cache near a footbridge over the Water of Leith, you will have lots of fun - Trust me.
Some information about the Water of Leith:
From about 1760 to 1840 (the industrial revolution) the power provided by the rapid flow of the river was harnessed to drive waterwheels in mills at over 70 sites along the river, establishing a string of villages. The mills produced a variety of goods for Edinburgh and further afield including, paper, flour, woollen and linen cloths and spices.
Whilst walking along the Water of Leith today you can see lots of different types of trees such as sycamore, oak, birch, elder, willow, yew, scot pine, and rowan trees. Wildlife is plentiful too, with otters, herons, ducks, and kingfishers to be seen if you keep an eye out!
