This metal and timber foot bridge was built next to the ford at the turn of the 19th/20th century to allow workers cross the river to the adjacent Ballinoroher corn mill,which still exists today (further along the lane,private property) The ivy covered Ballinoroher tower house is located 200 meters to the south of the bridge and is worth a stroll along the public road to view it.
