After you've gone around the new roundabout a few times head to the fishing hole. This is a new dedicated fishing area. It used to be a home of a large green metal bridge. The bridge was deteriorating and needed major repair. Instead of repairing NYS built a new bridge and roundabout.
I have been fishing in this river most of my life. Some years are better than others. Live bait cannot be used unless you have veteran status. Water levels and speed of water very throughout the year. Use much caution if you enter the water. Do not recommend swimming here.
