Geocache Description:

We're a family who geocaches together, we've been finding caches for a couple months now, and recently hit 30 finds. (And counting.) We're having so much fun that we wanted try our hands at hiding some of our own. For our first two caches we wanted to hide them close to home, and in places that hold a special significance to our family.

For our first ever geocache we chose Mill Pond Park and Adam Rand Memorial Trail. We've been using this trail to get exercise and a taste of nature since our oldest was born, almost always with Ender (our now sixteen year old Border Collie) in tow. It's a nice circular nature trail around a pond, with geese and ducks and even a swan. Lots of people walk their dogs through the trail, so it's also a good place to pet some pups. It's a nice, local escape from the hustle and bustle of suburban living, and we've enjoyed it immensely as a family, and hope to continue to do so in the years to come.

We're excited to share this spot with our fellow geocachers, and look forward to maintaining our very first cache and seeing who's signed the log. We also hope to use the maintenance as an excuse to visit more often, and when we do we plan on bringing a trash picker & grabbing some of the debris along the train to help keep it nice for the rest of the community.

With it being our first cache, we added a tracker bug that we're hoping to follow to commemorate our initial hide.

We've also included a trackable FTF coin for the lucky (and adventurous) first finder to do with as they please!

HAPPY 'CACHING!
