Geocache Description:

GEOCACHING TREASURE HUNT
at
HOPKINS DEMONSTRATION FOREST

Come and visit Hopkins Demonstration Forest, a 140-acre woodland where you can learn about forestry and see forest management techniques in action. The forest has information boards throughout its five miles of hiking trails that describe the techniques in use. They also demonstrate good watershed stewardship as they manage the riparian area to protect water quality in Little Buckner Creek.

This cache location was first established in 2006 as part of a Boy Scout Eagle project along with three others in the forest. Those caches are long gone, but a number of other caches have replaced them and are waiting to be found. Since the geocaching sign with these coordinates still remains at the trailhead information boards, I figured a cache should continue to live here in case some muggles see the sign and get curious. Take a hike, enjoy the creeks and forest, and grab a few caches. The fun starts here.
