At last month's SEMAG Event attendees were introduced to the time capsule that is now buried on Oak Knoll property. It is buried with the hope that geocaching will still be going strong in the year 2100. Our intent is to have future local geocachers unearth and open it as part of a Geocaching 100th Anniversary celebration. Though most of us will not be around to see the opening, we can at least be part of the celebration associated with burying it. (Indeed, many of you made predictions for 2100 and they are included in the capsule.)
Come enjoy some time with fellow geocachers and be one of the well-wishers for those who will open the capsule in 2100!
This will also provide opportunity to write out your personal prediction for the year 2022 that will be placed in the Time Will Tell cache container (GC8ZB2Q) that should be published during the event.
As will all Massachusetts events during this time of precaution due to Covid-19, it is imperative that safety measures be taken:
1) Masks must be worn when distance between you and one or more attendees is less than 6 feet.
2) When maintaining a social distance of 6 or more feet from others, the mask does not need to be worn.
3) We will be providing access to hand sanitizer to those who do not bring their own supply.
4) We will provide snacks. Snacks will be limited to individual paper bags filled with bag of chips, something sweet, and bottle of water. If you choose to bring your own snacks, that is allowable.
