The Happening 99 - Seeker Badger’s 10th Anniversary Celebration Event
The welcome return of The Happenings, a monthly meeting of geocachers from Herts, Beds, Cambs, Essex and even further afield. Please come along to celebrate 10 years since I left the muggle world behind, borrowed a GPS complete with the instruction booklet, and went out into the wild to find my first Geocache.
Everyone is welcome.
New to Geocaching? Never been to an event before? It’s a friendly gathering of people who all have Geocaching in common. Get advice on how to solve puzzles, discover your next must-do cache and swop trackables.
The Musgrave Arms, Shillington, has ample parking, a huge garden, a small area for young children to play, plus a pétanque ground which is available for our use. The pubs new owner no longer has pétanque sets to borrow, so if you’ve got one, please bring it along and we can organise some team games. I’ve got two beach sets. Click HERE to learn more about the game of pétanque.
The garden is both wheelchair and dog friendly. If the weather is inclement, we have a separate area inside on the right (entering from the car park), which is reached by a few steps. Please inform me in advance if the steps may cause difficulties, and I will set up elsewhere. If we need to go inside the space will not be suitable for dogs, being a small country pub.
To ensure the event is as covid safe as possible, the Musgrave Arms have kindly opened an hour early for the event, and hopefully the sun will shine on us outdoors. The kitchen will be open from 11.30am.
🎈Look forward to seeing you!🎈
