Saturday, October 30th from 11am – 1:00 pm
READ EVERYTHING SO YOU DON'T MISS OUT ON ANYTHING. We are all going to go "BATTY" with a tailgate party extravaganza along with playing a game called SNAG the TAG. This will also be a celebration of 20 years of geocaching.Â
Wearing a costume or themed mask is highly encouraged. Bringing your "BATTY" geocaching stories is a must. Be one of the lucky ones to SNAG a TAG between October 24th and October 30th  and your day can’t get much better.
BUT WAIT! There's more.... In addition to snacks, giveaways, new cache hides, BUMBLE sightings and other "BATTY" activities, there will be a Vehicle TRUNK-Decorating Contest. The rules are simple. Select any family-friendly, fun theme and start decorating away.  The winning TRUNK will get a fabulous prize.  Here are some examples on ways to decorate.

The latest craze in the geocaching world of fun is called SNAG the TAG. The game will be hosted by fellow geocachers, 👽crumpj7, 👻Arcee and 🎃k8brownie. ‘Bump in the Night’ is the name of the SNAG the TAG game you'll be playing.

This is How the Game of SNAG the TAG is Played
Part 1 of a 2-part Geocoin (which is referred to as the TAG in this game and has it’s own unique code) is hidden out in the wild. The coordinates to this TAG are posted at the SNAG the TAG web site along with a photograph to give you a hint to the TAG’s location. After the TAG is published, the first person to find the TAG gets to keep it. Once they have officially logged their TAG in their SNAG the TAG account they are awarded the COMPANION coin. The TAG & COMPANION coin can be pieced together to make an awesome and unique display. Think of this game as being an FTF and you get a Pathtag and Geocoin out of it.
There will be 8 TAGs in all for people to find and they will be randomly hidden throughout the Greater Buffalo Metropolitan Area between October 24th and October 30th.Â
Note: In fairness to everyone participating, only 1 tag per family or household may be snagged. SNAG the TAG only allows for 1 TAG per account to be redeemed.  Make sure if you find one of these TAGs, log it as ‘found’ per the instructions so others won't keep looking for it. Bring the TAG to the event on October 30th and at that time you will be awarded your COMPANION Coin. If you are unable to attend the event, contact crumpj7 and she will arrange to get you your COMPANION Coin via USPS for a small charge to cover the cost of shipping and packaging. This specific SNAG the TAG game is associated with these 3 game hosts, so the COMPANION coins can only be attainded through them.

To be in the SNAG the TAG Hunt you MUST do the Following Before October 24th
1.) Go to www.snagthetag.com and open a free account.
2.) After your account is opened click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the page then checkmark the box that says, New Game Announcement E-mails. This will alert you via email when one of the TAGs has been published.
3.) On the top tool bar click ALERTS and set up the type of alerts you want.
After you’re all signed up, watch for the TAGs to be randomly published between October 24th and October 30th then try to SNAG that TAG.
