This underpass was opened in 2010 to create easy and safe crossing of Buckley St and connection of the Steele Creek Trail on each side.
This is a busy and popular path and tunnel, that allows you to walk the whole way along Steele creek from Keilor Rd to the Maribyrnong River via the city views of Lily St or through Avondale Heights to the Tea Gardens. (There are a number of caches along the way now)
Stealth is required due to the popularity of the path by walkers, joggers and cyclists. There is no parking near, however Hampton Rd is the closest. Parking at Lily st and along the path through the tunnel, Nicholas Crt or Surrey Drv are also options if you aren’t walking/riding the trail.
The container is a 900ml sistema that I have now tied the lid with elastic to the surrounding structure. I have also made modifications to the hiding spot.
Please try to put it back exactly where it is and try not to damage the cover.
