This cache will take you to the Waunakee Fire Department, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2020! Once you locate the cache, take a peek inside and check out the beautiful mural depicting early Main Street that was commissioned in memory of Bob Ziegler, a 33 year veteran of the Waunakee Fire Department. The mural was painted by local artist Abby Wilson and designed with the help of former Fire Chief Gary Acker and other members of the Fire Department. Inside, you will also find 2 antique fire trucks purchased by the Waunakee Fire Department. One of them is a 1924 Ford Model T and the other is a 1933 Pirsch on an International chassis. Both trucks are still in drivable condition today.
