Geocache Description:

Be careful of poison ivy! If you approach near the wooden fence, you can hop over a small section of the pesksome plant and you will be good to go. Please note that I try to clean the area, but occasionally I find fresh broken glass and cans from boozehounds who enjoy the hill. Watch your step!

This little area is a spot on a hill where two generations of my family came to play as young-uns. We called it The Rocks.

When I was a wee lad and frequented The Rocks often, I was surprised one day to find that red paint had been poured over one of the boulders. It was near Halloween, and my older brother hinted that it was a sacrifical rock. I knew it was paint, but the idea still spooked me. Just a trace of the red paint remains.

I have big dreams for this spot. I am working on a nicer container where travel bugs will love to frolic. For now, you are looking for a tupperware.

Note: Due to the nearby pond, the mosquitoes can be heavy here in the summer months (June to mid August). From the middle of August into the fall, the threat of bug bites decreases. On the other hand, you might catch the sound of a promiscuous bullfrog or the 'crack!...plop' of a startled snapping turtle.
