Geocache Description:


The Joe Dolan Bridge, a 540m long bridge, is a two-lane carriageway with footpaths and cycle lanes. It crosses the flood plains of the River Brosna and Lacy's Canal. It's haled as one of, if not thee longest bridge in the country. Difficult ground conditions, consisting of 10m of peat above more than 20m of very soft silt, added many problems to over come in it construction.
