A middle Earth based series of Caches placed on our regular walk up and around Nuthill. Route approximately 5km in distance. Route is fully child, but not pushchair, friendly although there is a small amount of country road between ‘To Longbottom’ and ‘Entering Hobbiton’ and a short but steep climb up to the top of the hill, but the views are worth it! There are also livestock on the woodland site and on the final bit of the bridle path if walking clockwise. A mixture of cache types, most big enough for swaps and TBs – all fully stocked when set. All child friendly and simple T/D rating, so please ensure well-hidden so not easily found by muggles. Plenty of parking roadside in Coopers Edge. Route, particularly start and finish parts of the bridle path, can get muddy and wellies recommended.
The party tree was a large tree in the centre of the party field, South of Bag End, Hobbiton. I don’t think there will be too many parties up here other than a few groups of teens and the occasional sheep!
