Saint Anne

According to apocryphal Christian and Islamic tradition, Saint Anne was the mother of Mary and the maternal grandmother of Jesus. Mary's mother is not named in the canonical gospels. In writing, Anne's name and that of her husband Joachim come only from New Testament apocrypha, of which the Gospel of James (written perhaps around 150) seems to be the earliest that mentions them. The mother of Mary is mentioned, but not named, in the Quran.
Saint Anne is patroness of unmarried women, housewives, women in labor or who want to be pregnant, grandmothers, and educators. She is also a patroness of horseback riders, cabinet-makers and miners. As the mother of Mary, this devotion to Saint Anne as the patron of miners arises from the medieval comparison between Mary and Christ and the precious metals silver and gold. Anne's womb was considered the source from which these precious metals were mined, Saint Anne is also said to be a patron saint of sailors and a protector from storms.
"The Church Micro IE series is open to everyone; if you have a church you would like to place a cache at then please contact THE_Chris through Geocaching.com. This is to keep track of the numbers of the churches and give you the general format for the cache page. In the UK there are thousands in the series so we have some catching up to do! Also, if you currently have a published cache at a church that you would like to include in the series, get in contact and I can add it."
Please do not take pictures of the hiding spot or the actual cache itself as this can become a spoiler for people. If you can't find it please message me. Congrats to thehat01 for FTF!
The geocache is our first one yet! It's a small metal tube that you are looking for...
Enjoy searching!!
