About Our Cache
When G & J were young cachers they loved to find caches with lots of fun trade items. We have placed this cache with youngsters in mind. Please feel free to bring along a small trade item for the kids.
We always keep some swag in our caching bag to top up those empty caches for the kids. We encourage you to bring some small trade items along on all of your Geocaching journeys. You never know when a cachin' kid might be out looking for hidden treasure!
This cache is a camouflaged 1L LocknLock container and is located a short distance in on the Davis Main Logging Road in the Cumberland Community Forest. There is a short uphill climb at the beginning of the journey in to the cache zone but this is still a great route that facilitates hiking, biking, and stroller access. There are lots of other fun caches in the area too!
A forest inukshuk keeps guard of the area where this cache is located. Please be stealthy as mountain bikes and hikers are always out enjoying these trails. Please hide well before you leave.
Recommended parking is located at the Cumberland Community Recreation Centre on the corner of Dunsmuir Avenue and Sutton Road. There are restrooms and a bike washing station located there. The trail head is located on the corner of Sutton Road and Comox Lake Road. Waypoints have been provided for the parking area, the trail head, and a trail information board.
