Middle Gazebo Traditional Cache

The middle Gazebo was a part of Taman Selera that was officiated in 1974. It was a public park with a hawker centre, a huge children's playground and also a skating rink. It was renovated and a lot of the playground space was converted into buildings to house restaurants and in about 2015, the city council issued a statement saying that the land is not private property and they are not responsible for its upkeep. It is still a popular spot for weekend picnic and barbeques by the beach. 

The trees around these areas are Casuarina trees or locally known as Pokok Rhu. As you walk around this park you will see little mini durians, those are the seeds of these trees. If you look up you will also see a lot of artificial stingless bee hives, meant to lure the bees into settling in them. There are a few trees that have stingless bees colonies in the cavities in the tree. 

At the gazebo closest to the open-air stage. The cache is a small glass bottle wrapped in plastic. A lot of happy memories were logged here! Let's make it fun to be here again! Happy geocaching.
