EN: I am a big fan of street art, provocative installations, alternative monuments and a combination of all that. While cycling around the city, I came across this interesting installation, a 4-meter saxophone player made of wire. Through a little research, I came across information that it was made in 2014 by the sculptural tandem of Ana Belošević i Berislav Šimičić , and placed in front of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall during the 10th VIP Zagreb Jazz Festival in Zagreb as its trademark.
Since the statue was made as a mobile, it somehow ended up here, in the yard of the Catering Center in Maksimirska. If anyone knows more information about it, I am very curious to find out.
HR: Veliki sam ljubitelj street arta, provokativnih instalacija, alternativnih spomenika te kombinacije svega toga. Skoro sam prilikom bicikliranja po gradu naišao na ovu zanimljivu instalaciju, 4-metarski svirač saksofona od žice. Malim istraživanjem naišao sam na informaciju da je isti izrađen 2014.-e godine od strane slikarsko kiparskog tandema Ane Belošević i Berislava Šimičića, i postavljen pred koncertnu dvoranu Vatroslav Lisinski prilikom 10. VIP Zagreb Jazz festivala u Zagrebu kao njegov zaštitni znak.
Pošto je statua izrađena kao mobilna, nekim čudnim putem je završila ovdje, u dvorištu Catering centra u Maksimirskoj. Ako netko ima više informacija o tome, vrlo sam znatiželjan da ih otkrijem.
