Geocache Description:

The posted coordinates are not for the actual cache.

During a recent expedition to the Sahara to try and discover the ancient watercourses and biogeography of the region, we traveled with members of the Bedouin tribe Banu Sulaym.

During our travels with this tribe we got to know a lot about them and how they live in such a hostile environment. We visited many long forgotten ancient sites and at one of them, Tassili n'Ajjer, tribe members pointed out many examples of rock art. The art included paintings and engravings into the rock that depicted the culture of Africans up to 12,000 years ago. They were executed by a hunting people in the Capsian period between 5,000 and 3,900 BC who lived in a savanna region teeming with giant buffalo, elephant, rhinoceros, and hippopotamus, animals that no longer exist in the now-desert area. One of them that caught my eye looked like a set of coordinates.

Below is a copy of the wall art we found there. Maybe you can translate it.....maybe it will lead you to hidden treasure.
