THE GEOCACHE is a family friendly, six inch (15cm) cube lock&lock container, in a camo bag, covered with additional local natural camo, hidden in the crown of one of a pair of multi trunk trees, close to a fairly open field. A house can easily be seen from the cache, but hopefully the hide is not visible from the house, or it wasn't, but unfortunately the hedge to the field has been removed, so the hide is rather exposed until things grow back, so please use extra stealth. The cache is best accessed from the south by coming off the main straight path running east-west, or from the east by coming of the meandering path running north-south, access from other directions should be avoided. There are swaps, a paper log with pencil, and plenty of room for Travel Bugs. Beware of rare muggles in the field. Wellies are recommended in wet weather. The geocache is deployed with the kind permission of the Coastal Sites Team of Hampshire County Council.
THE VENUE for the NC series is a child and dog friendly loop around Netley Common, but the entrances might hinder buggies and bikes etc unless they are lifted. There are scattered seats within the venue, with interesting views, and some great sun sets. The paths are a mixture of hard gravel, cut and uncut grass, woodland, and open grass. The areas used are level. There could be muggles and dogs. Please use the gates in the fenced areas. There can be barbed wire in unexpected places, so be careful when going off the main paths.
