Have you ever wondered what the first geocache in a specific city was?
I did.
Thanks to the magic of certain online tools I was able to find out this information.
I thought it we be neat to rehide a geocache at the exact same coordinates as those first caches. I tried to be faithful to the original hide.
I hope you enjoy visiting some 'historic' geocaching locations.
Geocaching Origins: Napanee
Name: The Falls Tour: Napanee Falls
GC code: GCJDT8
Geocache owner: Bent & Twisted
Date hidden: 05/07/2004
Notes: First geocache in Napanee
Original description: A magnificent cascading type waterfall. As it flows through Napanee. If you want a great place for pictures, this is definately it. A magnificent set of stone arches spans the highway and the river. If you are lucky enough a train will run over head. I expect this park to be quite busy in the summer. So please take care when trying to retrieve and rehide the cache. Enjoy a stroll along the boardwalk. The cache container is a camoflauged flavoured coffee tin about 3" x 4"
Original hint: under the boardwalk
