Geocache Description:

“When an old person dies, its as if a Library has burned down” ~Amadou Hampate Ba

I felt like this was an important place for a cache for a number of reasons: in light of the history this place holds for the community of Rosebud; in memorial of the previous inhabitants, including my Grandmother, Carolyn Madge, who is interred here; because of the life giving water that is sourced underneath this hill; and because of the excellent view of the Rosebud Valley that can be had from here.  If you’re sharing photos of your visit to Rosebud, we encourage use of the hashtag #rosebudarts so we can enjoy what you’re discovering in our little valley.

There is lots of room to drive, park, and walk and stretch at the top of the hill.  This cache stands unofficially in place of the previous “Rosebud Lookout” which was lost in construction of a new water treatment facility for the Hamlet below
