Quest for Glory - The Magic User Wherigo Cache

Download the Wherigo cartridge before arriving, and plan to hike at least a couple of miles. All waypoints are within 100 feet of a trail but may require light bushwhacking. You will encounter a bluff with a sharp drop-off during your journey - nothing prevents accidental falls. Exercise common sense and take care during your ascent and descent.

So, you want to be a hero? It's a dangerous but incredible life to lead. Rumor has it these virtuous individuals are willing to fight hard to aid the weak and defenseless. Some believe such a person is mysterious, other worldly and the subject of legends. Perhaps they are simply people like you or me that seek treasure. Whatever the case, when adventure calls, the hero will be there.

Intelligence, creativity and resourcefulness are the traits of a magic user. A practitioner of the magical arts feels the flowing energies of the world like waves crashing on an ocean shore. They can take this energy, called mana, and shape it to their will. Doing so requires years of study and dedication. Any problems encountered are overcome through analysis and careful consideration of the options available. Solutions derived by the magic user are often unique and fantastic.

You have chosen this mystical and crafty path. After graduating from the Famous Adventurers' Correspondence School for Heroes, you answered a poster requesting aid in Spielberg Valley. The long journey was fraught with hazards and peril at every turn. Enthusiasm waned until you saw the valley before you. Rays of a setting sun cast the fields and forest in a blaze of orange. Your help was needed here. Confidence renewed, you set up camp for the next day would bring adventure!

Begin your adventure by downloading the Wherigo cartridge here. Load it to your favorite device, and head to the parking coordinates. An in-game Wherigo menu provides access to a tutorial, a hard mode toggle and an autosave feature. Yes, you can set the cartridge to automatically save your progress anytime you score points or reach a milestone! The Wherigo Menu appears at the beginning of the game and in your Inventory.

Also in your Inventory is a list of magical spells you can cast. Remember: as a magic user, the energies of the universe are at your command! You start with the following spells (more may be revealed during your adventure). Each has a particular effect and can be directed at objects that you carry in your Inventory or See.

Calm: Infuse peace and serenity into any situation.

Fire Dart: Fling a flaming ball of magic to heat up or engulf a target in flames!

Status: Utility spell that informs the user of their current mana level. Each spell cast reduces mana. But don't worry about running out! Mana recharges over time.
