I spent many days here as a kid. We lived through the woods. We would come down this way and go down around the cliff to the park and swimming pool.
The best way to go about getting this cache is either,
1. Enter the trail at the base of the cliff by crossing the creek and following it around and up. Depending on the time of year, there will be lots of stepping stones. If the water is swift and high DO NOT go this way. This is for warm weather only.
2. Enter the trail to the right just after the underpass near the Bellwood Dollar General. Park at near by pull off...
Walk the trail back and climb the back of the cliff.
It is all slate stone.... the stone is practically shale.
