Geocache Description:

Located with permission at the Bonham State Park.

This is the first cache to be placed in the Bonham State Park. This is a 261 acre park with a 65 acre lake that was built by the CCC's (Civilian Conservation Corp) in 1935, offering picnicking, camping, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, etc. Parking Coordinates N33 32.829 W096 08 674. Watch out for poison oak and natures little critters. Note: Please remember that this is a Texas State Park and requires a $4.00 per person entrance fee for everyone 13 years of age and over. Please pay this fee promptly upon entering the park either at the entrance booth, park office, or at the Iron Ranger located in front of the park office. Tell the Ranger that you are GEOCACHING or make a note on your iron ranger envelope. The park is open for day use until 10:00 p.m. In 2002 Dawgies created and hid this Geocache. At the time Geocaching in the Texas State Parks was relatively new and it was thought it would be best if it was maintained by the State Park, so Ranger and Geocacher "Brown Eyes" volunteered. When it was time for Brown Eyes to leave the Park he passed the cache to "photosaurus" who, in the course of time, passed it back to Dawgies!
