Geocache Description:

02 October 2020, 16:00 - 17:00

Join me for a quick weekday CITO of John Jenkins Park (Hillendale Park). I first hosted a CITO here in 2017 and we had plenty of trash bags full by the end of it. Since then I have maintained the playground area on my own while Sneaky_Molly plays, but I could use some reinforcements to spread out into the wood lines and go a little deeper. This is one of my "lighter" CITO's because we are just maintaining the work we originally started at the first clean up.

CITO stands for Cache In Trash Out. It’s the geocacher’s approach to keeping our game board (i.e. the entire planet) in great shape. Geocachers gather together to pick up trash, remove invasive species, repair trails and more! Also all geocachers who participate in a CITO between September 1st to December 31st will earn a pretty sweet new souvenir!

4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
John Jenkins Park (Hillendale Park)
13450 Hillendale Drive

Bags for the clean up have been provided by NoVAGO, and I will have some gloves at the starting coords. You WILL get dirty, so dress appropriately, and wear good footwear. The fields could be soggy. The wood line has thorns and some poison ivy. Your garden gloves will come in handy as well. Our planned cleanup area is marked in red on the picture below. Disabled cachers are invited as well. The park has a paved path that could be policed easily by wheelchair.
