Geocache Description:

The term “dinosaur”, derived from two Greek words - deinos meaning “terrible” and saurus which means “lizard”, was first used by English Biologist Sir Richard Owen in 1846. Variations for different species names come from a distinctive characteristic or where a fossil was first found.

The Triceratops, literally meaning “three-horned face”, is one of the last known true dinosaurs, becoming extinct only 66 million years ago. Its sturdy robust body not only meant this dinosaur was not an easy prey, but that their fossils are among the most common from the late Cretaceous, allowing palaeontologists to study the species in great detail.

A massive dinosaur boasting three devil-like horns on an armoured head, the Triceratops was probably not the most gentle of dinosaurs, and  though fossil findings suggest it regularly engaged in fights with predators and other members of it’s species, it was still a herbivore (plant eater).

A simple (mostly) PnG series useful for streak, souvenir or calendar “daze” (days) when fresh smileys in the area seem extinct. BYO pen, no room for swaps. Camo is relevant to each hide and is NOT swag.
