This small yellow building was the old Newhall Jail. Built in 1906 and was used until the 1950’s. You can still see the bars on the windows. The rear portion of the building is now a flower shop. Located at the corner of Spruce St. and 11th St. It remains as one of the oldest buildings in Santa Clarita. It is rumored that on rainy days William S. Hart would play poker with visiting friends here. Tom Mix (Cowboy action movie star) and Amelia Earhart to name a few.
It is rumored to be haunted, I would imagine with the history, there just might be some residual energy that resides in the Old Newhall Jail.
