I recently found this area and got the idea it would be nice to have a series of caches starting from Knockannavea (https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1064/) and continuing to the Liffey river on the other side of the road. More caches to come, watch the space!
This is the third cache of the series. You can approach the cache from many places, one option is to start from
Knockannavea to Liffey: #2 The Summit
The cache is not directly on the route to the final destination, hence the name.
The area is managed by Coillte and the cache is placed in accordance with the 'Leave no trace' principle. Please bring your own pen.
Please note that in the shooting season (Sept to end Feb) licensed shooting may take place here. While such shooting takes place under a code of conduct walkers would be well advised to wear a red jacket, make a human noise and keep to well lit tracks where possible.
