Nestled amid the concrete jungle of West Philadelphia is a sylvan oasis: lush forest and a charming pond beckon to Quaker romantics. Yet many Penn students go years without knowing this place exists.
In the summer, tree cover is extremely thick so I'll give a clue: you'll find the cache (a Rubbermaid container) at the end of a path. If you're not having any luck, sit down for a second --- but not on a bench. Now, for the love of God, Montresor, it's under your nose.
During the day, finding parking is almost as difficult as finding the cache itself. Park, if you can, along Spruce, then enter, on foot, the avenue behind the Quad at 36th.
For best results, visit in the evening, or even at night. The geocache is in a park. Parks look bad in winter. Also, when it is cold, wandering around outdoors can be uncomfortable. Visit in the summer. You have been warned.
