Room for one more? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

hzoi: I don't think I'm replacing this within the next month. Opening up the space in case someone else wants to take a stab. If not, perhaps a new puzzle here later.

Geocache Description:

You're looking for a small lock and lock. Bring you own pen, please. Free parking available at the additionla waypoint. Metro riders can walk up from Franconia-Springfield. Trail is a bit of a goat path, but it's not too bad.

The legend:

One fall night, a man woke up in the middle of the night when he heard a car pull into his gravel driveway. It didn't pull away, it just sat there. He went to his front door to see what was going on. The outside lights dimly lit the vehicle: it was a hearse, but instead of a coffin inside, it was full of people. The driver beckoned to the man. "Coming? We have room for one more." He gasped, as the driver's face was shockingly pale and cruel. The man rushed back into his house and locked the door.

He didn't get much sleep that night, not sure whether he hd been dreaming or it really happened. But he had to go into town for a meeting. All was well, until it was time to leave. He sent to the elevator to go home, but when the doors opened, he saw a crowded car, and in front, the hearse driver again, with his cruel, pale face. "Going down? There's room for one more." The man gasped again. He refused to get on, and rushed down the stairs. As he rushed down, he heard a loud rumbling sound. Stepping out into the lobby, he saw a cloud of dust and a dazed crowd of people staring at the elevator doors. The elevator had crashed, killing all on board.

The cache: Nothing so dire as that. There were two caches in a nice park, just about exactly 0.2 miles apart. I managed to find a spot off the trail that was right in between. The cache is hidden just off the path in Springfield Forest Park, a/k/a Franconia Forest Park, which is open dawn to dusk and is on the list of caches that does not require prior approval for geocaches.
